When negotiation skills are discussed, one of the first images that comes to mind is that of a buyer purchasing a product or service from a seller. Negotiating is however highly relevant in a variety of situations that managers are faced with. In fact some sort of negotiation will usually follow almost any type request that someone makes. Managers will have to negotiate with their managers, their colleagues and their employees. They will have to negotiate with other departments, other organisations and their customers. Poor negotiation skills will only lead to a worse deal for your organisation.
