If you were to ask the average person on the street what they thought of cold callers, the response you would get could probably not be published here. Cold calling is seen as an irritation by the people on the receiving end, and the people making the call are often just as nervous in the knowledge of what people’s perception of cold calling is. But cold calling is proven to generate business. The problem is that it is easy to generate an increase in sales as a result of aggressive and underhand tactics which are synonymous with cold calling. This however will simply not benefit a company’s long term prospects. Cold calling is an art that can be made to work to the benefit of both the company and the prospective customer without any of the negative connotations that are so commonly associated with this sales method.
