We are in an age where a leader cannot simply throw their weight around to achieve the tasks needed to achieve their goal. Sometimes, the modern leader needs to get things done through people outside of their direct line of reporting and on occasions this might even involve people that out rank them. In the modern age of influence, a leader must be able to package their ideas to gain the commitment of their direct reports, those above them and even their most sceptical co workers and partners.
